The gallery presents artists ranging from post-war to contemporary, including Yayoi Kusama, Gutai, emerging Japanese talents, and international artists.

Michael Kagan’s monograph, ‘I Was There When It Happened’, was published to commemorate the artist’s first museum show at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art which was held from September last year through the beginning of this year. We will be offering the publication for purchase by mail order, only in Japan.

The monograph features a selection of Kagan’s paintings produced over the past ten years of his career, and includes a foreword by music producer, Pharrell Williams; an essay by curator, Matthew Israel; as well as an interview by gallerist, Bill Powers. The full-color reproductions of the artist’s paintings and accompanying texts provide a comprehensive insight into the artist’s work and practice thus far.
